As Chief Operating Officer, Liza guides the team’s efforts to define and implement firm and fund strategies. She works to ensure alignment between the firm’s priorities, fund commitments, and values and its internal operations.  She is spearheading the firm’s growing commitment to ESG principles and its expanded reporting.  Liza also serves as the firm's Chief Compliance Officer and is a partner in Chestnut Opportunity Zone Fund.  

Liza draws upon more than a decade of experience as a management and strategy consultant to clients in the private, public, and non-profit sectors, where she honed skills in change management, strategy development, and communication. Prior to beginning her consulting career, she was with the Foundation for AIDS Research (amfAR) and a nanotechnology company that invested in early-stage university-based research in the United Kingdom.      

Her commitment to deepening ESG values is on display as a co-founder of Chestnut Catalyst Group, an affiliate of Chestnut Funds that helps organizations assess community needs and evaluate and report outcomes and impact.  

Liza received a BBA in Marketing and an MBA from the University of West Georgia.
